Job Description - Senior Contract Administrator - Ottawa

The successful candidate will head up a contract administration team, and will be ultimately responsible fo the co-ordination and supervision of all C.A. activities required to successfully execute a residential subdivision project. Other activities include payment certification, tender preparation and estimating, subdivision assumption process, earthworks analysis, etc. The successful candidate will function as the lead C.A contact with the client, municipality, approval agencies, sub-consultants, and other professionals. Key responsibilities include the running and documentation of regular site meetings, the monitoring of project schedules and budgets, the review and approval of extra work, and the certification of construction-related items, as required. This position is suited to a professional engineer or certified engineering technologist with solid leadership and motivation skills, expert C.A. knowledge, and superior communication skills.

Job Requirements - Senior Contract Administrator - Ottawa

  • Professional Engineer or C.E.T. with a minimum of two years construction administration experience post licensure directly related to subdivisions.
  • Expert knowledge of subdivision construction practices, construction law, payment certification, site grading and earthworks, tender preparation and tendering, cost sharing, as built drawings, etc.
  • Proven project management and leadership skills
  • Superior customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent computer skills (Word and Excel)
  • Must have a car
